Rules that actually apply where you are

How it works

Three steps, no forms

1

Ask in your own words

No forms, no sign-up. Describe your situation in any language, however messy.

2

The right rules, inferred

It works out which country's law applies — and asks you directly if it isn't clear.

3

Plain-language guidance

A clear starting point, practical next steps, and when it's time to see a real lawyer.

Why it's different

Built to inform, not to harvest

A calm, honest tool — clear about what it is and, just as importantly, what it isn't.

No forms, no sign-up

We don't ask for your name, email or details to answer you. Nothing to sign up for.

Jurisdiction-aware

Every answer names the country's rules it's using, so you're not misled by the wrong system.

Plain language

No Latin, no jargon walls. Just what the situation means and what you can reasonably do next.

Honest about limits

Every answer carries a disclaimer and tells you when a real, licensed lawyer is the right call.

Good to know

Questions about the tool

Is this real legal advice?

No. AILawyer is an experimental tool that gives general, plain-language information. It is not a lawyer and using it doesn't create a lawyer–client relationship. For anything important, confirm with a licensed lawyer or an official source.

Do I need to sign up or pay?

Neither. There's no account, no form and no fee. You can just start typing your question.

Which countries does it cover?

Six jurisdictions: the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia, Canada and China. If your message doesn't make the location clear, the tool will ask.

Do you store my questions or personal details?

The tool doesn't ask for personal details to answer you. Please avoid pasting sensitive identifiers — you don't need to share them to get a useful starting point.

Can it help with an urgent or serious matter?

It can help you understand the basics, but it's not a substitute for professional help. For deadlines, court dates, arrests or anything high-stakes, speak to a licensed lawyer or the relevant official body right away.

Have a question on your mind?

Describe it in a sentence or two. You'll get a plain-language starting point in seconds — no sign-up, no details required.
